Wanda Cinema held discussions with Guenther Hake, Chairman of Oriental DreamWorks at Wanda Group's headquarters in Beijing on February 20.

 

Both sides exchanged perspectives on the film industry. Hake in particular noted that his company will increase cooperation with Wanda on Mr. Peabody & Sherman and How to Train Your Dragon 2, which will be released this year. He also promised to give allocate additional resources to support Wanda in the future.

 

Oriental DreamWorks, which is short for Shanghai Oriental DreamWorks Film & Television Technology, is a Co-venture between DreamWorks Animation, China Media Capital, Shanghai Media Group and Shanghai Alliance Investment Limited. The company will produce Chinese-themed animation and live action films and their derivatives for distribution in China and abroad. The company is currently filming Kung Fu Panda 3.
