Wanda Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Longhu Wanda plaza in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi Province on September 27.

Hu Fuguo, former Shanxi Provincial Party Secretary and current Chairman of the China Association of Poverty Alleviation & Development, wrote a congratulatory letter to the plaza's groundbreaking. Xue Rongzhe, Former Shanxi CPPCC Standing Committee Vice Chairman, Wang Ya'an, former Deputy Director of Shanxi Provincial People's Congress, and Zhang Lizhou, Vice General Manager of North Project Center of Wanda Commercial Properties Co Ltd, attended the ceremony.

"The Longhu Wanda Plaza will introduce a new business model and its high quality is expected to contribute to the city's economic growth and urban development," said Zhang Lizhou at the ceremony.

The development will include a super-five star hotel, an international shopping center, luxury residential buildings, 5A-grade office buildings and a bar street. It combines shopping, dining, culture, leisure and entertainment, commercial, residential into one large urban complex.

The plaza will become a new landmark of the city.
